TEXTBOOK EXCHANGE

I have created a Google doc where you can go to post your book for sale to other students, and to look for a student with a book to sell or trade. Please follow these rules
1) Go HERE to find the site
2) Post your book on the appropriate sheet. There is one for unloading Macro, one for Micro.
3) List your name, phone and/or email, and whether you want to sell it, trade it for the book for the other class, or will be happy with either one.
4) When you have disposed of your book, to back and take your name off the list.
5) I will leave this up until several weeks into next semester and make new students aware of it at the beginning of next semester.

BEWARE: This page will be publicly accessible, and any contact info you put on there will be available to whoever views the page.

I will delete everything about 2 weeks into next semester.

At right you will find a link to "ch 20 homework budget hero". Play the budget hero game twice. Once you will try to achieve the "badges" which are personally important to you. The second time just play it to balance the budget. When you are done with each game it will give you a summary page. Print that out and turn it in.

END OF SEMESTER UPDATE

The Monday class will still happen as scheduled this afternoon. However, if you want your test and grade and will be on campus earlier, they are at faculty support right now, and I will leave the ones not picked up there.

For the other classes, I will leave your tests at faculty support this afternoon if you want them.

I will be posting grades for all classes on Tuesday, so if you have any issues, please contact me before that.

Ch 19 homework is canceled. Ch 20 homework is on the right and due next week, as is your writing assignment. NO writing assignments will be accepted after Friday. Last day to turn in anything is Monday 5/2.

Writing Assignment #2

Your second writing assignment is now AVAILABLE HERE. For all classes it is due on Friday 4/29, and no late work will be accepted.

NEWS FOR ALL CLASSES

Here are several news items relevant to all classes:

1) ch 17 homework is not the assignment in the syllabus, it involves listening to a podcast and writing a few sentences about it. See Below.

2) Ch 20 homework will be to play Budget Hero twice, once using the the priorities you set out for society (you badge), and once just doing whatever you need to to balance the budget. Print out your final page and turn it in by Monday 5/2.

3) The last day to turn in any work will be Monday, 5/2. This includes any homework, extra credit or other things you have not done yet. Anything submitted after that will be ignored.

For chapter 17, you do not need to do the problem in the book. Instead, go to the ECONTALK web site and listen to THIS PODCAST which relates to the gold standard and the Great Depression. Then, write a few sentences showing that you understood how it relates to the quantity theory of money in ch 17.

Happy New Semester

This blog is where you can find news about what is going on in class. If you miss a class, or forget what is due or coming up, you can check here. Please be aware that I have 3 classes, and updates for all of them will be on this blog. So, info for the Mon-Wed class will have either a mon or wed date as the title, and the friday class will have a friday title, and thursday a thursday title.

I will also post your writing assignments here, in addition to handing them out in class, and any other assignments. So if you lose the piece of paper I give you, you can come here and find it. And there is a link to your syllabus here, so when you lose the one I just gave you, you can come here and reprint it, and not have to go through the embarrassment of asking for another.
